The Walleye run is as soon as the ice breaks, then the White Bass will follow... usually all of May and then again September 15th-October 31st.
(2024 may be a bit different from the lack of snow and ice)
We are OPEN all winter for Ice sports, as well!

ON THE
BEAUTIFUL WOLF RIVER!
Nestled in on the Wolf River in Fremont, WI, the Blue Jay Campground allows you to relax and take in the beauty of nature. The fish are always biting, and some of the locals would be happy to point to the best spots!
Our resort consists of 13 units, 26 RV spaces, and tent camping is available.
The office has live bait for sale, as well as some essential camping items. Don't have a boat? Stop into the office to ask about our boat rentals! After you return with your cooler of fish, you are welcome to use our cleaning station to prepare them for your frying pan and let us freeze what you don't eat until you are ready to head home.
(Please note: We do not allow fish to be stored in our cabins, but we are happy to freeze your catch until you are ready to leave.)

The connected units are just a few steps from the river, and include

We are dog friendly (pre-approval required).
Please limit 2 dogs per reservation.
(A $25 pet fee per dog will be applied to your reservation.)

The courtyard features picnic tables, three grills, and a fire pit to enjoy a freshly caught meal outside after a long day of fishing!

Our full service RV sites feature water and sewer hookups, whether you are looking for a short or long term site rental.

For those fishermen who prefer the rustic way of camping, we do offer limited tent sites and outdoor grills.
You should ask the owners, Jackie and John, to give you their famous golf cart ride around the entire place!

This little piece of heaven is something you should try to book in advance, especially in the month of May for the White Bass run. However, we do take last minute reservations if we are able to accommodate them. We are also happy to take reservations for up to two years in advance!

Our campground is just across the river from downtown Fremont, which has beach access for swimming, amazing restaurants and bars, and even a water show put on by the local ski team, "Webfooters", every Sunday & Wednesday nights at 7pm, during the summer months!

Looking for a larger town atmosphere, for the evening? The larger towns include Appleton, Oshkosh, and Waupaca, all within a 20 minute drive. Here you will have access to Antiques, Supper Clubs, Ethnic foods, a Children's Museum, Trout Museum and much more....
